Why estimate version history matters

Published June 28, 2026

Clients remember what you quoted. If your estimate file only shows the latest number, disputes get messy fast.

Lock sent versions

Once an estimate goes out, that version should be immutable. Revisions create a new version number—not a silent overwrite.

Revision without confusion

When material costs shift or scope changes before acceptance, revise with confidence. The client sees the new version; you keep the old one on record.
